Dundee Fire Department This is the official page of the City of Dundee Oregon Fire Department. This page will be utilized We are a small combination (paid/volunteer) department.

We have career day staff of four personnel with a compliment of 20+ highly qualified/dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for volunteers and welcome out of district volunteers. We operate on a shift style arrangement where volunteers sign up for shifts and stay at the station. We ask for four 12-hour shifts, plus a total of 48-hours of weekend shifts a month. We provide fire and emergency m

edical (non-transport) service to our city and to the rural fire district (13 square miles) under a long-standing contract for services. We provide mutual and automatic aid response to our neighboring districts (Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and other Yamhill county agencies). Currently, we are actively participating in a feasibility study for a possible consolidation with neighboring agencies. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out. You can call us at 503-554-8442 or email [email protected] or [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are excited, humbled, and honored to once again receive this vital grant that allows us to hire additional temporary staffing during fire season.

This single program has probably had the biggest positive impact on the Oregon fire service in recent memory for many different reasons!

Thank you Oregon State Fire Marshal for your continued support with these funding opportunities!

The Dundee City Council has been working hard through a process to hire our next City Administrator. Through the process, the list of applicants has been narrowed down to four finalists (please see attached for a short bio of each candidate, along with a photo-candidates are in random order).
It is time to solicit the community's input! Your voice is important!
This Sunday (December 14, 2025) from 5:30-7:00 pm, there will be an open-house-style forum for residents to meet these finalists. There will be opportunities to provide your thoughts to the city council on the candidates. City Council members will be present at this event as well.
This event will be held in the community room at the fire station.
These candidates will be going through a formal interview process on Monday, December 15, 2025. The City Council will consider feedback received through the whole process when making its selection.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday evening!

We have recently gone through a re-evaluation with the Insurance Services Office (ISO). The last time we were graded was in 1999.

We are happy to announce that we have improved our rating for residences within 5 road miles of the fire station AND within 1000' of a fire hydrant, which will positively affect many homeowners fire insurance premiums (if your insurance company uses/recognizes ISO). Those living outside of 5 road miles AND within 1000' of a fire hydrant, remain unchanged.

We would like to thank our community for your continued support of your fire department. All of this would not be possible without it!

Milestone night for members of Dundee Fire Department.

At last nights monthly Volunteer Association Business Meeting, four members were voted off probation and to the rank of Firefighter.

FF Cavazos, FF Banks, FF Sedgmore, and FF Harber have worked tirelessly over the last 9-12 months to get through their initial training and our in-house additional training to meet the minimum requirements to come off of probation!

Congrats gentlemen and we look forward to continue watching you grow and learn!

As the Cram Fire continues to grow (over 64,000 acres have burned to this point) and challenge the firefighting effort, additional resources are being called in.

Yamhill County has assembled a Strike Team of small brush rigs (“Type 6”) to go and help the efforts. A/O Donahoe and FF Newman are the crew on this deployment.

They will be joining the other Task Force from Yamhill County that deployed a couple of days ago. Stay safe boys! Work hard and represent Dundee and Yamhill County well!
