As of midnight, Ramps and US 23 are back open.

As of 11:00 pm tonight, the northbound entrance ramp to US-23 from M-50 is closed due to an earlier incident being investigated by the Michigan State Police.

Suggested alternate route is Ann Arbor Rd to Cone Rd to re-enter NB US-23

The Dundee Police Department and Dundee Fire Departments teamed up for a special safety presentation for residents of Rawson Place Apartments and the Dundee Housing Commission today.

Topics included fire and safety hazards, fire & severe weather drills, calling and using 911, recent scams targeting senior citizens as well as personal protection and safety.

Thank you to the presenters Dundee Fire Department Lt. Michael Evans and Dundee Police Deputy Chief Randy Sehl.

Memorial Day Parade

The Dundee Michigan Veterans Club: VFW 6462, American Legion 72, DAV 42, SAL 72 will conduct their annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday May 25th.

The parade will kick off at 9:45am from Dundee High School and will travel south on Barnum, to east on Tecumseh, continue east on Monroe St. to Toledo St. where the parade will end at Wolverine Park. A ceremony will be held to honor fallen soldiers.

There will be a brief closure of M-50 between Barnum St. and Toledo St. as the parade travels to Wolverine Park. There will be NO PARKING signs posted downtown along Tecumseh St. between 6:00am until 11:00am to allow for a clear and unobstructed view of the parade. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

The Dundee Fire Department and Dundee Police Department will be providing traffic assistance and direction during the parade.

The Michigan State Police is hosting two upcoming Security in Places of Worship training courses, working with law enforcement officers and faith leaders to help strengthen safety plans, enhance preparedness and support the protection of their buildings and congregations.

Training will take place in the following locations:
• Wednesday, May 27 in Ga***rd
• Thursday, June 18 in Detroit

To register, create an account in the Professional Development Learning Center (link in the comments) and search "Security in Places of Worship." From there, you can sign up for the course you’re interested in attending or to be notified of upcoming sessions. Please note - there may be up to a 72-hour waiting period for new accounts to be approved.
