💡 RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHT PROJECT IS UNDERWAY! 💡

After months of planning and preparation, work has officially begun on Dunlap’s residential street light improvement project along Iowa Ave!

Crews have started the boring process, which will allow new underground electrical lines to be installed for the residential street lights between 8th St and 12th St along Iowa Ave. Over the next few weeks, residents may notice crews, equipment, utility markings and areas of disturbed ground along Iowa Ave as work progresses.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Please use caution around work areas and equipment.
• There may be temporary disruptions or areas where yards/right-of-ways are disturbed during installation. Crews will work to restore these areas as the project is completed.
• Weather and construction conditions can always affect the schedule, but we are hopeful the new lights will be installed around September 15.

This project represents a significant investment along Dunlap’s main street and will provide updated, reliable street lighting between the main business district and the school.

And there’s another improvement coming with it! ✨ The City of Dunlap has invested in new LED snowflake decorations that will be installed on the light poles along Main Street, giving downtown a fresh look for the holiday season.
