Today is the day! Hello, Sequatchie County! It is officially Election Day! I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking with several of you during this campaign. I wish I could have gotten to every single door.. I certainly tried. If I didn’t get to your door, please know that your opinions and concerns are just as important to me.

My name is Rhonda RHEAL and I would like to share with you some of the reasons why I am running for the office of Circuit Court Clerk.

Our county is in desperate need of change in this office especially in regards to the collection rate of Criminal fees and fines. According to a recent audit, Sequatchie County experienced a 47% decrease in the collection rate of criminal fees and fines per capita over the last twelve years under the current Administration. This dramatic drop placed us #88 out of the 89 counties included in the audit. This is an important revenue source for our county. The rate at which we are collecting this money is a real problem, and if you will have me, I would like to be a part of the solution! I have already reached out to Clerks in counties with higher collection percentages and have gotten a lot of ideas on how to significantly improve this particular deficiency for our county while also working with Offenders in affordable repayment plans/options.
