As the weather continues to become warmer, our friends and neighbors can be seen using our public spaces, including our roadways, sidewalks, and borough properties. Note that electric scooters are ONLY permitted on private property and are prohibited from roadways and sidewalks.

Our patrol officers have observed an increase in unlawful activities regarding electric scooters and e-bikes. At the direction of Chief Barth, our officers will continue to stop and issue citations for traffic violations on borough roadways and sidewalks for violations involving bicycles, electric pedalcycles, electric scooters, etc, in an effort to increase public safety so all Borough residents and visitors have a safe and enjoyable summer season.

Please see the attached fact-sheet.
