Wilkins Cemetery Wilkins Cemetery is nestled in the northeast area in the city of Dunn, North Carolina adjacent to Hannas Lake.

Previously owned by the Wilkins and Toon families, currently owned by the Wilkins Cemetery Community Committee (WCCC). Wilkins Cemetery is a historical defunct African American cemetery located in Dunn, North Carolina with burials dating back as early as 1907. The approximate number of individuals interned is unknown as there are many unmarked graves. A cemetery listing mentions at least 300 indiv

iduals, but more are currently being documented through genealogical research. Currently, the Wilkins Cemetery Community Committee (WCCC) and other volunteers are restoring the cemetery and trying to get validated historical recognition with the state of North Carolina.
