The Dunwoody Police Department will collect unneeded prescription medications during the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Drop off expired, unused, or unwanted medications at Dunwoody City Hall on Saturday (10/24) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the April Take Back Day, 192 pounds of unwanted and expired medications were collected and destroyed.
A disposal bin is also located at the Dunwoody Police Department headquarters for drop-off at any time.

Something exciting is taking root at Dunwoody Nature Center!
Join City of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation for the unveiling of "Forest Forms: Woodland Wonders" at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Dunwoody Nature Center.

Renowned artist Huelani Mei (Hue Designs ATL) created this colorful public art exhibit, featuring 21 larger-than-life woodland animal and plant sculptures placed throughout the park’s pathways and gardens. The temporary exhibit will be on display through Spring 2027.

DeKalb County revised its free residential bulky-item collection schedule because of last week’s storm. This differs from Tuesday’s update.
TUESDAY sanitation customers: Remaining collections will take place Friday, Oct. 16. Please place eligible bulky items at the curb by Thursday, Oct. 15.
WEDNESDAY sanitation customers: Collection will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, or Friday, Oct. 23. Please place eligible bulky items at the curb by Friday, Oct. 16.

Sharing praise for this Dunwoody storm response team from Tri Scapes: Adam, Bobby, Matt, Jason, Josh, Tyrell, Japheth, and Sean! After last week's storm, a resident emailed us to thank the team for quickly clearing a fallen tree on Binghamton Drive and reopening access for neighbors. Way to go!

Mt. Vernon Road Project Update: Starting the week of October 26, crews will begin selective tree clearing along Mt. Vernon Road to prepare for upcoming improvements. Work will take place within the public right-of-way between Gramercy Court/Mt. Vernon Place and Jett Ferry Road.

⏰ Work hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
🚧 Lane closures: Daily, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

This initial work must be completed before utility relocations can begin. The overall project will include intersection improvements, new sidewalk and path, stormwater upgrades, and water infrastructure improvements.
