3. See our website for our current volunteer needs.

4. Serve on Wednesdays: Malachi's is open for distribution from 9:00 - 12:30, but volunteers are there from 8:00 - 1:00. Weekly teams of vol

unteers are needed for various tasks: distributing bags of groceries; packing, carrying, and gathering information from our clients; cleaning up.

5. Provision: Our needs are so great that we have a truck from the Atlanta Community Food Bank deliver food on a regular basis. We need volunteers to lift/carry on delivery day (Tuesday morning).

6. Receive Deliveries: We have a couple hosts receive deliveries on Sunday morning from 9:00 - 11:00. Join the rotation on receive once every 6 - 8 weeks.

7. Ask: Volunteers keep records, write grants, garden, learn software and do a variety of necessary administrative chores to keep Malachai’s Storehouse working. Maybe your skills are just what we need but haven't thought of yet. Just ask!

Got Muscles and a Big Heart? We Need You!

Malachi’s Storehouse, a food pantry located at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Dunwoody, is looking for a few strong, early-rising volunteers to join our team! If you can lift boxes up to 45 pounds and don’t mind breaking a light sweat for a great cause, we’d love your help.

When We Need You Most:

Tuesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. (1-2 hours)
Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. (1-2 hours)

We’re also looking to add a few folks to our Saturday morning Costco Brookhaven pickup rotation — a once-a-month opportunity to gather generous food donations and bring them back to Malachi’s.

If this sounds like your kind of workout with purpose, email us at [email protected] to learn more. Your assistance will help keep our shelves stocked and our community fed.

We’ve had so much fun reading the name ideas you’ve sent in for our Oktoberfest mascot! There’s creativity, humor, and heart in every single one, and we’re grateful for the participation.

Let’s keep them coming!

We’ll close submissions next Tuesday (8/5), so if you’ve been thinking of the perfect name for our Bavarian friend, now’s your chance to toss it in the hat.

We can’t wait to choose a name and select a winner for our giveaway. Submit your entry at www.dunwoodyoktoberfest.com/mascot.

Winner will be announced Friday, August 8.

🌟 **A Kind Reminder to Our Generous Donors** 🌟

We are so grateful for your donations of food, clothing, baby supplies & toys, and small household items and I can assure you, they make an incredible impact for our community! 💙 However, we kindly ask for your help in ensuring that your generosity goes to good use.

**If our collection bin is full, please refrain from leaving donations outside of the bin.** Unfortunately, items left outside are often damaged by weather, the elements, or animals, making them unusable. This creates extra work for our amazing volunteer team and reduces the number of donations that can truly help those in need. **Please do not (ever) leave food outside when no one is on site to receive it.**

👉Our collection hours are as follows:
- Tuesdays: 8 - 11 AM and 4 - 6 PM
- Sundays: 9 AM - 12 PM

While we understand these hours may feel limited, please know that as an outreach ministry of St. Patrick’s, we operate with a 100% volunteer team. We do not have staff on-site to receive donations outside of these times.

If you’re unable to return during collection hours, we encourage you to take your clothing donations to Goodwill (located at 2482 Jett Ferry Rd.) or another location of your choice. **Recently, we had to spend valuable funds to rent a dumpster to dispose of a mattress (unusable) and several bags of clothing, food, and baby items that were left outside of our bin and damaged by snow and animals.** These funds could have been used directly to support those we serve, and we hope to avoid this in the future with your cooperation.

Your thoughtfulness and generosity mean the world to us and following these guidelines helps ensure your donations make the greatest impact possible. Thank you for your continued support and understanding! ❤️

Let’s work together to make the most out of every donation!

At this time of year, the Malachi's Clothing Closet is grateful for and overwhelmed with generous donations—bags upon bags and boxes filled to the brim. While we truly appreciate your kindness and effort to support us, we kindly ask for your consideration: we can only accept items in clean, reusable condition.

Items left outside in the elements become trash. If our clothing collection bin is full, kindly return during our collection hours: Tuesday 8 - 11 am & 4 - 6 pm or Sunday 9 am - 12 pm.

Thank you for your understanding, support, generosity, and kindness!
