What a start to Tiger Trot! Our Tigers kicked things off with a pep rally that had the gym roaring, and today Spider-Man swung by for Affirmation Day to remind them how strong, kind, and capable they are.

Here's how to get in on the fun:
1️⃣ Register your student at https://www.gofundschools.com/register-login?mode=login
2️⃣ Share their page with family and friends to collect pledges
3️⃣ Cheer them on at the Fun Run on Thursday, October 29!

Registered students are entered into our daily treasure box drawing, and all funds go toward STEM materials, outdoor upgrades, club support, and Leader in Me rewards like the PBIS school store, helping every Tiger Grow, Lead, and Succeed.

What a way to start the morning, Tigers! Today we celebrated Walk & Roll to School Day while wrapping up our Hispanic Heritage Month Spirit Week with the theme “Todos Somos Uno” — We Are One. Students arrived in their spirit shirts, ready to walk, roll, and celebrate together as one DES community.

A huge thank you to Lucky Goat for providing coffee for our parents, Ms. Fain for keeping the morning moving as our DJ, and Dekalb School Board Member Mr. Andrew Ziffer for joining us!

So many smiles, friends, and school spirit filled our morning. Todos Somos Uno!

A huge THANK YOU to Georgia Wholesale Nursery for supporting our Grounds Day yesterday! 🌿❤️

Georgia Wholesale Nursery generously donated 100% of the mulch and free delivery to help beautify our school grounds!

We’re especially grateful to Wilmer, a former DES parent, who has been donating mulch to Dunwoody Elementary for more than five years. We love that he continues to make the trip back to DES and give back to our school!

Thank you ! ❤️

Your kids have infinite energy. We have a mountain of mulch. Let’s make a deal 🍂

Fall Grounds Day
Saturday, Sept 26 | 9 AM to 12 PM
Meet at the back of the school

The plan: clean up the recess area, pick up trash, plant flowers out front, and spread mulch at the outdoor classroom. It’s a LOT of mulch.

If you own a pitchfork, shovel, or wheelbarrow, this is its moment. Bring it.

One hour or all three, we’ll take it. No gardening skills required. Sign up here:
