Troop 84 is located in Durand Michigan Troop 84 meets every Monday at 7:00 pm in the basement at the First Congregational Church of Durand.

Today we welcomed two Arrow of Light Scouts into our troop as they crossed over from Pack 84. Grateful for our scouts who were able to attend today to welcome our new members.

Four of our scouts helped out at Pack 84 Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby today. Three made cars to race. They did a great job helping run the event for the younger scouts.

Our scouts had a great weekend adventure at our winter camp. We went snow tubing, built snow forts, had a snowball fight, played games, and ate great food. It was a weekend full of winter fun, competition, and bonding time. ☃️❄️🎮

Last night we celebrated our past 8 months with a Court of Honor. Our senior scout leaders performed the ceremony and awarded their fellow scouts with a total of 31 merit badges, 10 rank advancements, and 13 special awards. We also officially welcomed 5 more scouts into our troop. We are proud of their accomplishments and look forward to more learning, fun, and service in the future. 🎉🏕️🏆

We spent the day today providing service and having fun. We made new friends and collaborated with Troop 42 of Flushing. Spent the day at Wreaths Across America- Great Lakes cleaning up in the cold. Then went bowling after to warm up and enjoy each others company.

Spent a great day at Merit Badge Mania. These scouts worked hard over winter break to complete their pre-work. Then had a full day of learning, fun, and completing their merit badges. Plus a rocket launch show for one of the badges. Collectively they earned a total of 13 badges. (Electricity, woodcarving, geocaching, art, fire safety, American cultures, scholarship, space exploration, cybersecurity, and Artificial intelligence)w

This weekend we participated in the Durand MI’s Annual Santa’s Light Parade. The theme was "the most wonderful time of the year" and we picked the camping season. Scouts decorated hiking sticks and hiked along the parade with their campsite in tow 🏕️🥾❄️🎄

First event of the day successful. Completing work at Corunna Historical Village of Shiawassee County at McCurdy Park placing the luminaries. This place is looking wonderful. Make sure to check out their holiday events starting next weekend.

Got the ornaments painted last troop meeting and the tree at the depot decorated this weekend. Make sure to check out all of the gorgeous trees at the Durand Union Station all December long. 🎄

What a fun fall day decorating the Corunna Historical Village. Scouts placed a lot of wreaths, lights, and garland today. They even had time to learn about printing in the new print shop being put together. Thank you Mr. Waters. They each got a newspaper print from 1904 and spent some time reading about Durand's history.

We continued our holiday help with wrapping some of the tree tops with lights in Durand. We can't wait for everyone to enjoy these next month.
