We are also apart of Dunn/Pepin Counties MABAS Division 117 & Buffalo County MABAS Division 148.

With profound and heartfelt sadness, we have to announce the passing of Firefighter Chris J. Bates. Chris joined the Durand Fire Department in 2007, served as a Lieutenant and Training Officer on the department and was a current Senior Member. Chris was an amazing firefighter and US Marine Veteran. More importantly he was a brilliant husband, father and grandfather to his family. Rest easy brother, we’ll take the watch from here. Godspeed Chris Bates.

We're honored that American Legion Post 181 of Durand has made a remarkable donation to our fire department, gifting in part an anonymous donor, a 30x50 American Flag that will proudly represent our community at special events, including the 250th Anniversary Celebration of our Country.
