The Regional Housing Alliance of La Plata County (RHA) is entering a new phase as it transitions from its administrative contract with the The La Plata Economic Development Alliance after three years of collaboration.
“The past three years have demonstrated what’s possible when our jurisdictions work together,” said Patrick Vaughn, RHA Board Chair. “Thanks to the Alliance’s leadership and the collaboration of our local governments, the RHA has reestablished itself as a cornerstone of regional housing strategy. We are excited to continue this work with renewed commitments and dedicated staffing to meet the housing needs of our community.”
Moving forward, the RHA will focus on strengthening capacity across the region, supporting the Town of Ignacio’s DOLA Capacity Grant, coordinating funding opportunities, and convening partners to advance local policy and public-private partnerships. The RHA will also begin recruitment for a Housing Manager to oversee its programs, grants, and contracts under the direction of the Board beginning in 2026.
