Yesterday's rain kept our marching band from performing in the Memorial Day Parade, but they were ready after lots of practice last week! The community will have another chance to see them at this Saturday's Middlefield-Rockfall Old Home Days 2026 parade. The parade kicks off at 10:00 at St. Colman's Church.

The CRHS Envirothon team came in sixth at last week's state Envirothon competition. Envirothon is a natural-resources based competition that seeks to "promote environmental awareness, knowledge, and active personal stewardship among Connecticut high school students through education and team competition." Our team is made up of Alex Castiglia, Bella Oakley, Grace Velardi and Leith Yaghi and is coached by former CRHS science teacher Susan Michael and alumnus Paul Benjunas.

Mr. Bradanini's Fire Science and EMT students took part in a 'mock crash' last week before prom. The students gained practical experience in extricating "victims" from a simulated car wreck, with student actors playing the parts of drivers and passengers. Thank you to the Durham Volunteer Fire Company, the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company, the Connecticut State Police, Middlesex Health, and LIFE STAR for their support of this important exercise!
