Tiny clothes, massive impact: Help Welcome Baby keep Durham's little ones clothed this summer by donating to our urgent kids' clothing drive today.

The Welcome Baby Program is urgently seeking children’s summer clothing for its Giving Closet, a free resource that provides clothing, diapers, baby gear, and maternity supplies to families in Durham County.

Shelves at Welcome Baby are currently empty. The program is requesting donations of new or gently used summer clothing in sizes 2T–6X. Due to limited storage, larger sizes cannot be accepted.

Donations may be dropped off at the Cooperative Extension Building, 721 Foster Street, Durham, NC 27701, Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donors should drive to the back of the building, park near the stairs, and place items in the donation bin.

This community-supported program helps reduce financial stress for families by providing essential items to keep their children safe and comfortable. All items in the Giving Closet are donated by community members and provided directly to families.

More In My Basket members can help you complete a SNAP application over the phone and answer all your questions. At the end of your call, they will mail your completed paper application to you, so that you can deliver it to your local Department of Social Services.
