From building shoe racks and welcome signs to creating welcome-home cards for new homeowners, our youth volunteers put their time, creativity, and heart into helping build a stronger community.

This year we started something new at Durham Habitat — a youth advisory board built around the idea that young people should have a real role in shaping their community.

From Youth Builds to welcome home baskets, thank-you cards to lunch bag decorating, this year was about more than any single project. It was about 10 young people learning what it means to show up compassionately for their neighbors, for each other, and for their community.
Year Two, we’re building on it!
