the UNH Police Department has two certified comfort dogs on our team? 🐾

K-9 Charlee (yellow lab mix) joined us in 2019 through a partnership with Hero Pups, and K-9 Maggie (American Foxhound) came aboard in 2021 after serving as a search & rescue K-9 with the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office.

You’ll see them around campus and at community events, always ready for snuggles and stress relief.

To request Charlee or Maggie for your event, contact us.

Another weekend with periods of rain in the forecast. 🌧️

Severe weather can create hazardous road conditions, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of hydroplaning. If you find yourself driving on slick roads during a downpour, slow down and remember the basics:

⛈️ Reduce your speed
🚗 Increase your following distance
💡 Turn on your headlights
🛑 Use gentle acceleration and braking
⚠️ Avoid using cruise control on wet roads

A few extra minutes can make a big difference. Stay alert, drive defensively, and arrive safely.

Today, we honor and remember the peace officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and our nation.

Peace Officers Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness behind the badge, while keeping the families, friends, and fellow officers of the fallen in our thoughts.

Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
