We’re kicking off our FREE Fall Movies in the Park series with Zootopia on Saturday, September 5 at Durham Central Park! 7:30 PM Sharp!

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and your crew for a fun night under the stars. ✨ Local food trucks will be on site, so come early, grab a bite and settle in for the movie.

⬛ Morreene Road Park Tennis Courts are open for daylight play only while the light replacement project is ongoing.

⬛ Morreene Road Playground has reopened

⬛ Bathrooms at the park remain closed for the duration of the light replacement project.

We’re bringing the party to YOUR park one last time this summer!

Join Durham Parks & Recreation for the final Party in YOUR Park of the summer on Saturday, August 29, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at Old Farm Road Park!

Party in YOUR Park brings FREE music, food, recreation, and family fun directly to neighborhood parks across Durham. Think of it as a block party—just with more space to play!

These events give neighbors a chance to come together, have fun close to home, and discover new ways to play with DPR.

🚧 West Point on the Eno Closure

Big improvements are coming to West Point on the Eno Park! Beginning in mid-September, the park will close for more than 180 days as we make accessibility upgrades to parking and pathways throughout the park.

The Environmental Education Pavilion will remain open, and DPR programs will continue at other locations.

& that's a wrap folks!

Saturday we wrapped up our free summer concert series with an incredible performance for the Wilson Springs Hotel, a five star quintet who gave us a blend of rock & roll, bluegrass and classic country.

The band’s reach clearly extends well beyond their home state, with several fans in the crowd proudly sporting Wilson Springs Hotel merch and ready to sing along.

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday—and all summer long—for great music, community and memories made in our parks. Until next summer! 🖤 🎵
