Parents/Guardians that use Yahoo owned email addresses (.com, .net, and .net) are not able to receive ParentSquare posts and messages via email or password reset emails. If they are using the optional text message and App features, they will receive ParentSquare communications on those.

ParentSquare support is working on the issue with Yahoo support and we will update everyone once they resolve the issue. In the meantime, we have added a Warning Alert to the district and school websites in the hopes that Parents/Guardians who may be experiencing issues will see the warning.

2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration

Parents of children living in Durham and Middlefield who will be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2024 must register to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2024 or apply for a waiver of attendance to hold their child out until age 6 at the Superintendent’s Office.

For children who will not reach the age of five on or before September 1, 2024 whose parents would like them to be considered for attendance in the fall of 2024, parents may submit a written request for admission in the fall of 2024 to the Brewster School principal by March 1, 2024. If a family decides to submit a written request, we will contact you to schedule an assessment of your child for readiness to start kindergarten in 2024-25. All assessments will be completed by June 30, 2024, and we will notify all applicants with final decisions about parent requests no later than July 15, 2024.

Please note that all kindergarten classes in Regional School District 13 will be located at Brewster School in the 2024-2025 school year.

What does this mean for Brewster School families new or current:
Families who have a child not 5 years old on or before the first day of September can make a written request to Debra Murray, Principal, by March 1st at [email protected].
An assessment of the child, conducted by June 30, 2024, will determine admission to Kindergarten in the Fall of 2024.
If your child does qualify to attend kindergarten, families can still apply for a waiver of attendance at the Superintendent’s office, if they choose to have their child enter at age 6.
All current Brewster PreK4 students may remain in PreK4 for an additional year if not 5 on or before September 1st.

Please contact the Brewster School main office at 860-349-7227 and the school will then send you information and instructions for registration. It is highly encouraged that registration be completed in accordance with published timelines in your registration packet.

Please share this information with others you may know who have children eligible for kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Any parent or guardian of an eligible kindergarten child who wishes to hold his/her child out of school for another year must sign a waiver of attendance at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools.

The Community Drop Off is back and will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00-12:00. Groups made up of families and learners will be stationed at CRHS to unload and pack your donations to be delivered to our local food banks. During these hours, community members are encouraged to bring any donations of food, toiletries, paper goods, pet supplies, grocery gift cards, or cash to CRHS and drop them off to our volunteers. Now, more than ever, our neighbors need our support!

Starting on Thursday, November, 16th at 7:00pm, families can register to volunteer from 8:30-10:30 am through Parent Square. Like last year, the number of volunteer slots will be limited, sign up as soon as possible.
