It is with a heavy heart the post announce the passing of our Auxiliary President Marlene Comeaux. A celebration of life will be held at the post located at 120 VFW Rd. Duson, LA 70529 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Please keep Marlene’s family in your prayers.

She will be greatly missed.

Members of the post, CVMA, and MOPH were able to wish Mr. Jim Bollich a Happy 105th Birthday!! Jim is a Life Member of the Post, is believed to be the last survivor of the Bataan Death March still living, and a true national treasure.
The group rode by his house in a celebratory parade, stopped to visit and wish him a happy birthday.
In the words of Jim, “See you next year!”

Thank you to the members of the post who participated to include James Bourque, Scott Hebert, Tom Grote, Myron Fonseca, and Mike Aufdermauer.

This past week post and auxiliary members attended the National Convention in Reno, NV. Attendees from the post included Don and Thuy Reber as well as James and Crystal Bourque. They represented the post, district, and state with pride by participating in various committee meetings, business sessions, training sessions, and award ceremonies. (See picture captions for awards received.)

Congratulations to Post 9822 for the 4th consecutive year of receiving All-State and All-American! These awards signify the teamwork and dedication put forth by all members of the post.
