A message from K9 Sirk’s handler, Officer Steve Hall:

They say a dog is a man’s best friend, that couldn’t be truer when you have a K9 as a partner. Working with K9 Sirk was the most rewarding thing I have done in my career and life. He was much more than just a working dog, he was a partner, a brother in blue and a part of the family. He helped countless amounts of people, whether it was a call for a missing person or a K9 demonstration at touch a truck. He has touched so many lives and will continue to live on through happy memories. For a big bad police K9 he truly had a heart of gold. To my good friend and forever partner, you are the best boy, thank you for all you did for the Town of Duxbury and for me personally. You will always have a place in my heart. You may rest now, I have the watch. K9 Sirk EOW 05/28/2026

🇺🇸 On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and selflessness have secured the freedoms we hold dear in Duxbury and across our nation.
Today, we thank our Gold Star families and all who continue to carry the heavy weight of that loss. We will never forget.
Please take a moment to remember those who gave everything. Drive safely, enjoy time with family, and be kind to one another.
