Today, our hearts are with our Project Fire Buddy and Honorary Firefighter, Grace, who is spending the holidays at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. While she can’t be home for Christmas this year, a few of our members made sure to bring Christmas to her with a Sunday road trip filled with love, laughter, and surprises.

Her big brothers at DFD opened their hearts and wallets, taking a big chunk out of her Christmas wish list and reminding her just how much she means to all of us. Grace continues to show incredible strength and courage, inspiring us every single day with her smile, her spirit, and her resilience.

As if that wasn’t enough, she even took time to create a beautiful holiday drawing for the firehouse, a gift we’ll treasure more than she knows.

Moments like today remind us what this season is truly about. Family, love, and showing up for one another, especially when it matters most. We hope everyone gets to enjoy their holiday season with their loved ones as much as we cherished spending time with our little sister today.

We love you, Grace. Stay strong. We’ve got you, always.

During the redistricting debate earlier this month, Liz Brown took the lectern and launched into a tirade about women’s reproductive health care within the Department of Defense—showing there is no bottom to her willingness to drag culture-war politics into any space, even on the backs of women in uniform.

Eventually, a citizen in the gallery spoke up. Instead of de-escalating, Micah Beckwith called her “crazy” and had her escorted out. (If you're reading, I know who you were and thank you.)

Now Liz Brown has lost her Judiciary Committee gavel, and after watching redistricting unfold, I’m not surprised. When lawmakers treat serious issues and real people as props for culture-war theatrics just to prolong their political career, there are consequences. Even in that building.
