Looking for kid friendly fun this summer? Eagan Safety Camp is back on Friday, July 10 at Eagan Fire Station #2!

Kids ages 8–11 will learn about fire safety, bike safety, electrical dangers, animal safety, and more — plus enjoy games, lunch, snacks, beverages, and a camp T shirt.

Time: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Location: Fire Station #2 – 1001 Station Trail Eagan, Eagan
Cost: $65

School’s out for summer and we’re officially on the hunt… for kids making awesome choices!

We’ve partnered with our locally owned Yogurt Beach for this year’s Caught Doing Something Good program. Doing the right thing can score you a FREE 4oz yogurt. Yup, free. Froyo. For being awesome.

Today we were joined by the newest member of the Eagan Police Department. Meet our new K9 Lloyd! Lloyd is a 14 month old Belgian Malinois who came to us all the way from Slovakia. He is teaming up with Officer Ryan Winegardner and they will start basic K9 school together in August. He will be ready to hit the road in October. Welcome to Eagan Lloyd!

We were honored to recognize three citizens at last evening’s Eagan City Council meeting.

Gabrielle Conklin received the Outstanding Citizen Award for her quick thinking and decisive action when she recognized that an elderly couple was likely being scammed. By promptly calling 911, she helped prevent the couple from losing a significant amount of money.

Peri Singh and Seth Flolid received the Citizen Lifesaving Award for their awareness and rapid response in administering CPR and using an AED. Their actions were instrumental in saving the life of a man experiencing cardiac arrest.

A third citizen also assisted in the lifesaving effort and will receive the Citizen Lifesaving Award. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend last evening’s meeting.
