For the past six years, from the fall to the winter, almost every week from early September to roughly March, I have been teaching the New Testament online with these colleagues:
John Behr
Douglas Campbell
Julie Canlis
Chris Green
Brad Jersak
Sister Vassa Larin
John MacMurray
Cherith Nordling
These are live Zoom sessions that most of us try to make each week, so a majority of us are usually on together. One of us presents a chapter or portion of a chapter for about half the meeting and then the rest of us join in a lively discussion about the presented text.
There’s a wonderful synergy between us and the hundreds of folks who’ve taken these courses give us great feedback on the content and presentations. You can attend live or watch the sessions later. Folks who are live with us in the session are encouraged to ask questions via message and we try to answer those live for all to see (Brad Jersak usually handles this).
So far, we’ve taught John (2000-2021), Revelation (2021-2022), Hebrews (2022-2023), Matthew (2023-2024), and two years of the Letters of Paul (2024-2024, 2025-2026).
This next season, which begins September 9, we are taking on Paul’s magnum opus, the Letter to the Romans. There will be 24 ninety-minute sessions on Wednesdays between September 9 and March 3. We hope you’ll consider joining us.
