Classes will be posted on Skyward by August 7th. Tricky little word “by.” Does it mean they *might* be posted by Friday? Perhaps. Should we flood the office with calls if they aren’t there by 7 am on Friday? Please, no. Let ‘em do their thing. They know you are refreshing your skyward every five minutes and your child has asked about it 17 times already. I promise you, they know. 😘

By state assignment, we track volunteer hours. Or at least try. But the thing is, we know this number is wrong. It’s lower than our reality this last year. We know in addition to the hours at school and volunteers who signed up that there were others who pitched in, made last minute trips, helped decorate, cleaned and … so much more. We saw you. We thank you. Thank you!!!

   -TAW funds donations from parents (spent on massage chair for staff & school supplies)
   -Student Holiday Gift Shop

PTA Expenses: $15,879
   -Insurance, Supplies, bracelet for students
   -Staff Appreciation Week 
   -SEP Dinners and Treats for teacher work days
   -Supplies for concessions, holiday store, boo grams
   -Student Birthdays Treat
   -Candy Launch (first Fridays on playground)
   -St Patrick's Day Cookies 
   -6th Grade Graduation BBQ and breakfast
   
Bank Ending Balance: $7,603  
(Suggested by Region to be half of following year's budgeted expenses)

What do you get when you mix 300 bags of popcorn, 300 bags of cookies, 240 water bottles, 100 bags of chips, 800 candies and free leis and glo sticks?? An amazing movie night!! Come over to Brookhaven at 7 pm for our showing of Moana with hundreds of your closest friends and family! We got a bigger screen and a better sound system this go around. It will be epic!

Drumroll …. We bought a thing. Well, you did.

Teacher Appreciation parent donations came in at $1,265!! And today was delivery day. 😍

It wasn’t enough $$ for the original plan, but fortune favors the bold! Another massage chair came available for an amazing price. So we got it! We put it together today and it’s looking pretty cozy in the teachers lounge. It’s been tested out already! Multiple times.

We had enough to get a bunch of Clorox wipes too. We have the most amazing community. Happy Appreciation, Brookhaven Staff!! ❤️
