🏆 WELCOME TO EAGLE PASS, BABE RUTH WORLD SERIES TEAMS! 🏆

The Eagle Pass Police Auto Theft Task Force was present to receive Babe Ruth Teams as they arrived to register, welcoming players, coaches, and families arriving for the 2026 Babe Ruth World Series!

We enjoyed meeting everyone, passing out promotional goodies, and sharing motor vehicle theft prevention tips to keep our out-of-town guests and their vehicles safe throughout the event.

To ensure a secure environment for all athletes and visitors, The Eagle Pass Police Department, the Eagle Pass ATTF, and the Maverick County Sheriff's Office ATTF will be increasing patrol presence across our community during this 10-day tournament.

• Out of Sight: Don't leave valuables, bags, or sports equipment visible inside your vehicle.

Today, our Eagle Pass Police Auto Theft Task Force was proud to join forces with the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office Auto Crimes Unit, TxDMV Enforcement Division, and the Zavala County Auto Theft Unit for a series of business inspections across Maverick County.

By working together we successfully recovered a stolen car dolly out of Dallas and seized additional undocumented equipment.

Huge thanks to all participating agencies for their continued partnership in the fight against vehicle crime!

Today, the Maverick County Sheriff's Office Auto Crimes Unit, in partnership with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) Enforcement Division, the Eagle Pass Police Department Auto Theft Unit, and the Zavala County Auto Theft Unit, conducted multiple business inspections throughout Maverick County.

As a result of these inspections, investigators recovered a stolen car dolly that had been reported stolen out of Dallas, Texas.

Additionally, a second car dolly was seized after investigators determined the owner was unable to provide proper documentation establishing ownership. The investigation into the seized property remains ongoing.

These proactive inspections are an important part of our mission to identify stolen vehicles and equipment, ensure businesses are operating in compliance with Texas law, and protect our community from vehicle-related crime.

The Maverick County Auto Crimes Unit remains committed to working alongside our local, state, and regional law enforcement partners to combat auto theft, recover stolen property, and hold offenders accountable.
