The Eagle Pass Police Auto Theft Task Force regrets to inform the community that today’s FREE VIN Etching Event at Moncada Baseball Field is CANCELLED due to the current weather. 🌧️⚠️

Unfortunately, the high humidity and mist in the air will interfere with the etching papers, preventing a clean and permanent application on your vehicle.

The safety of our community and the quality of the service we provide are our top priorities. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding!
Please keep an eye on our page for a new date. Until then, stay safe and remember:

This week, the Eagle Pass Police Department celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. While you often see our Auto Theft Task Force out in the community, none of our work would be possible without the "Thin Gold Line" behind the radio. You are the calm in the chaos and the heartbeat of our department.

Our dispatchers are the first, first responders. They are the ones who take the initial call when a vehicle is stolen, gather the critical details that help us track down suspects, and most importantly ensure our officers get home safely every night.

🤝 Collaboration in Action: Eagle Pass to Brownsville.

The Eagle Pass Auto Theft Task Force recently joined forces with federal, state, and local partners at a commanders meeting hosted by the Brownsville PD. From insightful remarks by State Representative Erin Gamez to behind-the-scenes tours of international ports of entry and SpaceX, the day was all about collaboration.

By sharing intelligence and resources across all levels of law enforcement, we are better equipped to adapt to evolving trends and keep our border communities safe. 🛡️

A huge thank you to the Brownsville Police Department for the hospitality and their Motorcycle Unit for providing an es**rt throughout the day! 🏍️

Keeping Eagle Pass safe, one inspection at a time! 🛡️

Today’s 68-A vehicle inspections were a success. Not only did we process local vehicles using our specialized mobile lift, but our team’s keen eyes also led to the recovery of a stolen trailer.

Great day at C.C. Winn High School for Career Day! 🦅
It was awesome meeting the next generation of leaders and sharing what we do at the Eagle Pass Police Department.
