Join the members of VFW Post 8562 and American Legion Post 211 as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

This Memorial Day, let us reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our fallen heroes and pay tribute to those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Join us for the Memorial Day Ceremony taking place Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maverick County Veterans Memorial Amphitheater.

This special ceremony is hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8562 and American Legion Post 211 as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

We invite the community to attend and pay tribute to our fallen heroes whose courage and service will never be forgotten.

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 521 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Quemado, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
