We hope you’ll join us for the Maverick County Summer Series Market Days at the Maverick County Lake on June 20 and June 27 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Come out and enjoy a festive atmosphere featuring over 160 vendors, delicious food, uniqu opportunities, family-friendly activities, and plenty of fun for all ages. Whether you’re looking for great local products, tasty treats, or simply a wonderful evening with family and friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Join us for a Pop-Up Food Distribution hosted by the South Texas Food Bank and the Maverick County Food Pantry.

Maverick County remains under a Flood Watch through Tuesday evening as periods of heavy rainfall continue to be possible across the region.

🌧️ What to Expect:
• Additional rounds of heavy rain may develop through Tuesday.
• Localized rainfall totals of 6 inches or more are possible in some areas.
• Rainfall rates could exceed 2 inches per hour, increasing the risk of rapid flooding.

⚠️ Potential Impacts:
• Flooding of creeks, streams, rivers, and low-lying areas.
• Water covering roadways and low-water crossings.
• Dangerous travel conditions, especially in flood-prone locations.
• Life-threatening flash flooding may develop in isolated areas.

📍 Residents of Eagle Pass, Quemado, El Indio, Normandy, Elm Creek, and surrounding communities throughout Maverick County should remain weather aware and monitor conditions closely.

🚨 WEATHER DELAY NOTICE – MAVERICK COUNTY 🚨

Due to ongoing severe weather conditions and flooding concerns affecting portions of Maverick County, all non-essential county employees will report to work at 1:00 P.M. today, Monday, June 15, 2026.

This delayed start is intended to reduce travel during hazardous conditions, including flooded roadways, low-water crossings, and areas experiencing rising water levels throughout the county.

✅ Essential county services will continue without interruption, including:
• Emergency Management
• Law Enforcement
• Fire Departments
• Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
• Other critical public safety operations

⚠️ Residents and county employees are strongly encouraged to exercise caution when traveling, avoid flooded roadways, and obey all road closures and barricades.

Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

The safety of our employees, first responders, and residents remains our highest priority. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Maverick County, including Eagle Pass, El Indio, Rosita, Farias Lake, and surrounding areas.

⏳ Valid Until: Monday, June 15, 2026 – 11:45 AM CDT
🟢 Severity: Minor

🌧️ Heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorms has produced between 1 and 2 inches of rain, with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible through late this morning.

⚠️ Potential Impacts:
• Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas
• Water over roadways
• Dangerous flows at low-water crossings
