Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber held a meeting with Vivian Juarez Mondragón, Consul of Mexico, and HSI officials to discuss the enactment of Senate Bill 4, allowing law enforcement to arrest those entering the United States illegally. 🚨 TODAY’S OPERATIONAL SUCCESS 🚨

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Office Auto Crimes Unit, alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), conducted proactive enforcement operations today resulting in the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles.

Recovered vehicles include:
• 2010 Cadillac
• 1997 Suzuki Motorcycle
• 2009 Buick Enclave

During today’s operation, Maverick County Code Enforcement Officers were also present assisting with inspections:
• Mercedes Sanchez – Code Enforcement Officer
• Ted Mendoza – Code Enforcement Officer

These recoveries and inspections highlight the importance of multiple agencies working together with a common purpose in combating vehicle theft and criminal activity within our region.

The Maverick County Auto Crimes Unit remains committed to protecting our community and recovering stolen property.
