Meet your New Transportation Supervisor!

We are pleased to announce that Lindsey has been selected to serve as the district’s new Transportation Manager.

Lindsey brings a diverse background in operations, leadership, human resources, safety, and employee support to this role. Before joining the district, she gained extensive management experience across retail, veterinary, and nonprofit settings, where she led teams, developed operational procedures, supported employee training, managed daily operations, and collaborated closely with staff, families, clients, and community partners.

Since joining the district, Lindsey has served in Human Resources, supporting employees across the organization through recruitment, onboarding, leave administration, compliance, employee relations, and contract interpretation. In that role, she developed a strong understanding of district operations and the importance of clear communication, consistency, trust, and follow-through.

As Transportation Manager, Lindsey looks forward to supporting the Transportation Department and the employees who keep the district moving each day, helping to ensure that students are transported safely, reliably, and with the care families deserve.

Eagle Rock Elementary's 3rd Grade students recently had the incredible opportunity to experience a glimpse into everyday life for elementary students in Japan through a hands-on cultural presentation led by a nonprofit team visiting from Portland, Oregon.

Through interactive skits, activities, and demonstrations, students learned about the responsibilities and routines of children their age in Japan. From riding public transportation independently to helping serve school meals and cleaning their classrooms each day. They also discovered unique cultural traditions, including changing into indoor school shoes, practicing respectful greetings and bowing, and learning the importance of gratitude and etiquette.

Students had the opportunity to participate in chopstick etiquette, traditional Japanese kanji writing, and even learned how names can be written using Japanese characters. The experience left many students with curiosity and excitement!

The Eagle Point School District 9 Board of Directors has a Regular Meeting scheduled next week.

The Regular Meeting will convene at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, May 27th in the District Office Board Room.
