Teacher Appreciation Week is Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, 2026. We look forward to recognizing the outstanding work of our educators across EPSD9.

We want to take a moment to simply say thank you. The work happening across EPSD9 each day does not go unnoticed. The care you show, the relationships you build, and the consistency you bring positively impact our students. Whether in the classroom, offices, support roles, or behind the scenes, your dedication shapes the environment and the success of every student we serve. That impact reaches far beyond academics. It builds confidence, trust, and a sense of belonging that students carry with them long after they leave our schools.

We are grateful for the professionalism and heart you bring to this work.

Thank you for all you do!

Hello EPSD9 Community, School Bus Driver Appreciation Day is Tuesday, April 28th!
Every day, our bus drivers are among the first to greet our students and the last to wish them well on their way home. They do far more than transport our students; they create a safe, welcoming environment for each school day, building relationships and supporting success.
Eagle Point School District 9 is grateful for the care, patience, and commitment that our bus drivers continuously show to students and families across our district.
Please join us in saying thank you to our incredible bus drivers, especially on April 28th.

A Well-Deserved Seat at the Table: Quiet conversation filled the room as students took their seats, napkins folded neatly in their laps. For many, this was their first experience with a formal, three-course meal. And for all, it’s something a bit more; it was a moment of recognition for their hard work.

Yesterday, at Hillside Elementary, student leaders were recently celebrated with a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience, celebrating their positive contributions to their school community. The event combined both reward and learning, offering students the opportunity for education and practice of etiquette skills while enjoying a thoughtfully prepared meal by Sedoxo Executive Chefs.

“It’s really nice… very nice,” one student shared, taking in the surroundings. Some students shared a similar experience to special meals enjoyed while traveling with family, but for many, this was something entirely new.

The lunch wasn’t just about the food. Throughout the meal, students practiced table manners, learned about dining customs, and even explored how etiquette can vary across cultures.

“It’s really cool… really amazing,” another student said. “It feels like we got rewarded way more than we deserve.”

That sense of appreciation was at the heart of the event. Participation wasn’t tied to a program, but rather a way to recognize students who demonstrate leadership each day at HES.

As plates were cleared and the conversations continued, one thing was clear: students were gaining something long-lasting, a sense of pride, confidence, and the understanding that their efforts are truly impactful.
