Then and Now: Sissons Resort on West Bay of Little St. Germain Lake, in St. Germain. Back in the early days much of that area was still considered Eagle River before it became known as St. Germain. St. Germain was also originally called Farmington. It looks much different there today with all the trees that have grown back.

Well the ice castle was built this year, and what a wonderful ice castle it is. An amazing job was done by the Eagle River Fire Department and many volunteers to make this one of the best yet. If anyone has enjoyed seeing this year's ice castle or wants to help out with a donation to the Eagle River Fire Department, there is an image here that you can scan to give a donation. Then and Now: the corner of Wall and Railroad St. The first photo may be from the late 1890s or very early 1900s. The large building in the background burned down and was replaced with the First National Bank building that still stands on the corner today.
