With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Chief of Botetourt Fire-EMS, Jeff Beckner. Jeff was an excellent Chief and an even better man. He was always thinking of others and putting their needs ahead of his own. Wether on the fire ground or just talking around the station, Jeff made an impact on us all. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. Let us remember the laughs and memories we shared with Jeff and remember the lessons he taught us. We love and miss you Chief.

At this time the Chief officers of our department would like to ask that you keep one of our members in your thoughts and prayers for comfort and healing. I'm not going to mention his name but he was involved in a very bad vehicle accident this morning just before 0800. He was air lifted to Roanoke Memorial with multiple cuts and abrasions, possible broken leg and both arms broke. Thank you all in advance, ERVFD & RESCUE
