🌡️ HIGH HEAT INDEX SAFETY REMINDER 🌡️
With temperatures and humidity rising, the heat index can become dangerous very quickly. Please take precautions to keep yourself, your family, and your pets safe during extreme heat conditions.
🔥 Heat Safety Tips:
• Drink plenty of water — even if you don’t feel thirsty
• Limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
• Take frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas
• Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle
• Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those without air conditioning
⚠️ Signs of Heat Exhaustion:
• Heavy sweating
• Dizziness or weakness
• Nausea
• Headache
• Muscle cramps
🚑 Signs of Heat Stroke (CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY):
• Confusion or unconsciousness
• Hot, dry skin
• Rapid pulse
• Body temperature above 103°F
