My wife Carrie and I are raising our two sons in this beautiful valley. I will be a Sheriff that is connected with the community I serve. Being a member of the public, living and working with them side by side, not closed off from them and living apart, this is the type of law enforcement officer I have always been and the type of Sheriff I intend to be. • I have over 20 years of law enforcement experience both locally and internationally;
• I have held positions from road deputy and detective to commander of an international police station;
• I have the experience both internationally and locally in organizing and planning large successful operations as well the ability to speak 3 languages;
• I have a track record of working with diverse cultures and will work with all agencies that will be coming to this valley in 2015 and beyond;
• I understand community Policing and embrace its principals with having been extremely successful in problem solving and decreasing issues by working within diverse communities both locally and abroad and bringing a respect and cooperation between these communities and the police.
• I will be a Sheriff that is connected with the people I serve, accessible and available to assist with their needs;
• A sheriff who believes in our U.S. and State Constitutions.
• A Sheriff who will not just give you lip service saying he will not enforce the illegal laws created by our state legislature that go against our 2nd Amendment rights, but a sheriff who will stand with you and challenge them at every level;
• A sheriff who wants to improve our communities by not just solving crimes and making arrests, but preventing them from happening;
• A sheriff who wants to tap into the resources of our seniors as volunteers and develop our youth with explorer programs focusing them on careers in law enforcement and other emergency services;
