Of course, as soon as I post that I’m not going to post very often, I wanted to share this important topic that I was reminded of on my morning walk.😂
If you see a PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE sign, snap a quick picture so that you can read about it later. You may recognize the font is rather small and difficult to see while driving, and that is typical of public notice signs in most cities. This is especially important if the sign is in your neighborhood or near your place of work because it will likely be relevant to you.
Your voice matters at public hearings.

I am not likely going to be posting much here because I’m taking a break from official political involvement to focus on the community, Eagle Chamber of Commerce, my business, my students, and assimilation into Idaho. I’ve learned a lot about the political climate here and have my sights set on the future. How far into the future and in what capacity is a mystery, but I will continue to be engaged.
I dont need to be elected to serve, and I do not relish campaigning 😊
I was asked to run for Eagle City Council because of my experience and I had (I thought) the momentum to continue to serve. I quickly learned that the length of time living here is very important to people, so that was a good lesson.
For now, I’m going to enjoy my horse, husband, and home!

Today is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. 🇺🇸
This day is observed on December 7th to commemorate the 1941 Japanese attack on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii. The day was officially designated by Congress in 1994 and honors the over 2,400 Americans killed and 1,178 wounded in the attack. It is also a day to remember the U.S. entry into World War II and to honor all veterans who have served the nation.

Please be aware of the detour. 🚦🛑⚠️

Work will begin Tuesday on the Linder Road, State Highway 44 to Floating Feather Road project.

During the first phase of construction, Linder Road will be closed between Saguaro Drive and Rosslare Court. Only local traffic will be allowed on Linder Road between Floating Feather Road and State Highway 44.

Commuters should use Park Lane to get around the closure. Drivers may also use Palmer Lane. The current closure on Palmer Lane will reopen before Linder Road closes. (see detour map)

Those heading to and from the schools along the corridor should plan to use Floating Feather Road.

This closure is expected to last through spring of 2026 as crews complete bridge work before irrigation season begins.

The work is the first phase of ACHD’s Linder Road, State Highway 44 to Floating Feather Road project. Once complete, the corridor will feature five travel lanes, a new roundabout at Linder and Floating Feather Roads, and new multi-use pathways, among other upgrades.

Thank you to everyone who voted in this election. I am humbled by the level of support I received from so many wonderful friends and neighbors.
***A big congratulations to Bob Gillis and Nancy Merrill for their decisive wins!***
Although the outcome I hoped for was not realized, it was meant to be. I look forward to the opportunities to serve in the future and trust in God to place me in the right position to do so.
Until then, I will continue to love and learn about Idaho!
