🚧 Water Shut-Off Notice 🚧

The water will be shut off Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for residents on Chestnut Street north of 5th Street.

As a reminder, this water project is disrupting normal water flow and stirring up sediment in the lines. As a result, you may notice iron or rust-colored water. This is expected and may continue for up to a month after the project is completed while the system adjusts to the new flow patterns.

We know this isn’t ideal, but these improvements will provide long-term benefits for our town. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this important project.

As work continues on the new water main project, the contractor will be making connections to the new water lines over the coming days. During this process, some residents may notice rusty or discolored water.

If this occurs, simply run your cold water for a few minutes until it clears. While the work may not be taking place directly near your home, changes in water flow throughout the system can loosen sediment and rust that has settled in the lines, causing temporary discoloration in other areas of town as well.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as these important improvements are completed. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
