Freedom Fest

Freedom Fest

After careful consideration, the Freedom Fest Committee has come to the conclusion to post-pone Freedom Fest, previously set for July 4th, 2020 and all of the related activities, previously set for July 3rd, due to the current Covid-19 situation. This was a very difficult decision, but we found it was in the best interest for the health and safety of our community and the people that come from various locations to help celebrate.

That being said… 2020 is the Sesquicentennial (150th) Anniversary of Earlham. This is a huge milestone for our community and we still think this is something that should be celebrated. We have decided to hold a Sesquicentennial celebration on September 5th,2020. The events of the day will be very similar to those of a normal Freedom Fest celebration, just not on Independence Day (Parade, Park Activities, Street Dance, Fireworks). All of this will be dependent on the Covid-19 regulations, however, as the state continues to open up, we hope we will be able to celebrate this monumental year for our community.

🇺🇸SO MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR SEPTEMBER 5th, 2020! 🇺🇸

Also, if you have ordered Freedom Fest shirts with the July 4th logo on them and no longer want them, please let me know. All proceeds will be going towards the Sesquicentennial celebration in September, but if you wish to cancel your order, we completely understand. Another design will be coming out with the 150th Anniversary information only.

We appreciate all your patience and understanding during this very difficult time!

Hello Earlham Community. The American Legion still would love to have the Memorial Day Ceremonies. Due to social distancing we would have to do some of it a little different. One recommendation I have been given is.
Have the Legion line up for the 21 gun salute but 6 to 10 foot apart, Taps of course will be off in the distance but then any community members that attend we would need all to stand at least a head stone apart. I can have the loud speakers out at the park so everyone can hear. If this is something that may be feasible or if you have other suggestions please message me as we would still like to remember our loved ones.

Hello Community,The American Legion is coming time to help support our seniors. By now we normally have a breakfast every month and we have only had one this year. Corona has hit us hard. We would like to still support our Seniors.

IF, the legion was to do a Biscuit and Gravy curb side on April 18th would we get enough support to ensure our seniors get scholarship? Any help would help.
