On this night 24 years ago...

🇺🇸343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift
🇺🇸8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives.
🇺🇸60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol.
🇺🇸246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights.
🇺🇸2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning.

None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same.

Tonight as you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted

We apologize for the delayed post. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Chief (Ret.) Larry Simpson. Larry was an integral member of the Fire District for 30 years and spent 16 of those years as Chief, 1983-1999. He was also one of the founding members of the Earlville Ambulance Service almost 50 years ago. Please join us in supporting his family at the Earlville Methodist Church tomorrow from 9:00am - 12:00pm with a service to follow.

View Larry O. Simpson's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.
