We had an absolutely electrifying day at the library today for our Summer Library Program! We were thrilled to host Absolute Science for their mind-boggling performance, Mega Levitator.

The room was packed with energy as the show took us on a wild journey through the forces of magnetism and electrical conductors. It was a fantastic afternoon of interactive learning and laughter.

A huge thank you to Absolute Science for bringing such a high energy, memorable program to our community, and to everyone who came out to discover just how magical science can be!

We had an exciting morning at the library. Today, a special guest read 'I've Got a Tail' to us. We had a blast learning about different animal tails and the amazing ways animals use them. We crafted our very own fish tails using glue and colorful tissue paper.

A HUGE shoutout to Maddy Horan for leading such a wonderful program this morning! A lot of hard work and planning goes into creating an educational program, bringing it to life, and capturing the children's attention so beautifully.

Thank you, Maddy, for sharing your time and talents with us!

What an absolute ROAR of a time we had yesterday!

Our Summer Library Program went back in time with the hilariously silly archaeologist, Professor Montague Tobias Wobblebottom IV (better known as Toby the Kid)! He brought his incredible program, "Mesozoic Adventures," to our library, and it was an unforgettable afternoon of laughter, learning, and time travel.

Armed with an ancient book, a magical toolbox, and an insatiable curiosity, Professor Toby took our young readers on a wild journey through the Earth's four-billion-year history. Toby the Kid taught us that history doesn't have to be boring, it’s an invitation to learn, laugh, and grow!

Thank you so much to Toby the Kid for sparking our imaginations, and to all the amazing families who came out to explore with us.

Today in our Early Literacy Program, we had a blast with parachute play! While we shook the parachute to create waves, Miss Gloria read 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat', and the children loved mimicking all the animal sounds. Next, we practiced walking in a circle holding the parachute while listening to 'I Went Walking'. We wrapped up the session with some fun free play using parachutes, balls, and bean bags.

Parachute play is more than just fun; it helps children build balance, coordination, and fine motor skills. It’s also a wonderful way to bring families together while teaching essential social skills like cooperation, sharing, turn-taking, and language development.

What an exciting morning at the library! Inventor and time traveler Brock Barnabas arrived from the future with an urgent mission: to recruit brave young adventurers to travel back to Medieval times and help solve a dragon overpopulation crisis.

Our participants jumped right into training, learning how to both defend against and tame dragons using Brock's incredible science-based inventions and techniques.

From dragon defense training to hands-on demonstrations, there was plenty of laughter, excitement, and adventure as our young recruits proved they were ready to help save the kingdom.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable journey through time. We can't wait to see you at our next Summer Library Program event!
