Thanks to all who came out to support UCM at Pizza Inn - Pickens, SC last night. We had a great time and raised over $1,200!

We are blown away by the generosity of our community this week.

In just a few days, 58 donations came in—nearly 5,000 pounds of food—from individuals, families, churches, businesses, Sunday School classes, and schools.

We wish we had taken more pictures, but as the food was coming in, we were also serving 121 families (337 individuals). For perspective… that’s twice what a normal week looks like for us!

Thank you for showing up, giving, caring, and walking alongside us as we navigate this new level of need. Your support is making a real and immediate difference in the lives of our neighbors.

To those coming in for assistance, thank you for your patience as we work hard to ensure that every family is cared for.

With SNAP food assistance set to pause on November 1, nearly 10,000 people in Pickens County will be affected — and 70% of those are children or older adults.

This pause puts many vulnerable people at risk of food insecurity.

This month, we distributed food to 97 more families (352 individuals) than we did last October!!! The need is great, but our God is greater!!!

We asked and you delivered! We had 20 food donations today (1,369 pounds) and several finanacial gifts given! Please keep them coming over the next couple of weeks so we can feed our neighbors in need.
