Empowering our educators to inspire every student! Today, East Aurora Union Free School District proudly partnered with Holland Central School District for Opening Day Part 2, featuring best-selling author and veteran educator John Perricone (Zen and the Art of Public School Teaching).

A standout moment from Mr. Perricone’s keynote was his focus on the Japanese philosophy of Kai-zen, which translates to "Continuous Improvement." This concept directly reflects our district's core pillars—Learning Excellence, Respectful Relationships, Effective Communication, and Continuous Improvement—reminding us that small, intentional daily moments create a profound, lasting impact on our students' lives.

We are energized , inspired, and ready to welcome our students back for an extraordinary school year alongside our colleagues from Holland! See you tomorrow EA!!

💙💛Opening day for staff and faculty was filled with Blue Devil energy and excitement today!!
We had the pleasure of hearing from one of our own, Alicia Wahl who serenaded us so gracefully! We also had the opportunity to celebrate staff milestones and hear from Mr. Russ and the East Aurora Educational Foundation, Inc. We are excited to see all of our students on Thursday!

We had a great two days welcoming our newest tEAmates to East Aurora!

Our two-day New tEAmate Orientation was filled with opportunities to learn, connect, build relationships, and get to know both our district and our community. Our newest staff members participated in team-building activities, met with district and building leaders, learned more about their roles and expectations, enjoyed time together over lunch, and explored what it means to be part of the East Aurora tEAm.

Most importantly, orientation was about building connections and welcoming an incredible group of new employees who will be supporting our students in so many different ways this year.

We are excited to have them join the EA tEAm and can’t wait for our students and families to meet them. We’re ready for a great 2026–27 school year! 💙🤍

Aiden Rabideau (Buildings & Grounds): Gannon University wrestler, wrestling coach, and big Buffalo Bills fan.

Debbie Patterson (High School Teacher Aide): Former Fisher-Price toy box model and 30-year flight attendant who collects city postcards.

Olivia Derosa (Parkdale Teacher Aide): Mother of two boys who loves to cook.

Cheryl Pulaski (Parkdale Teacher Aide): Recently retired 32-year veteran teacher who just crossed Hawaii off her bucket list.
