Did You Know? The County of York offers a property tax refund program for members of fire companies and non-profit emergency medical service providers?

This program, approved by the York County Board of Commissioners, is designed to provide property tax relief to those individuals who maintain active volunteer service and those who are unable to do so due to injury incurred in the line of duty.

All Lake Meade residents and surrounding residents are invited to attend a ‘Meet and Greet’ open house at the Lake Meade Fire Station, 492 Lake Meade Drive, on Saturday, August 29th from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon. Fire Chief Cory Lease will address the community at 10:15, explaining how the fire department operates, followed by a question and answer session, and then a tour of the apparatus and equipment. This will also be an excellent opportunity for children to experience the chance to wear firefighter’s gear, and to learn about our “Junior Program”, wherein younger folks can join the fire service at 14 years old. We look forward to meeting our neighbors at this event!

Congratulations to Firefighter Isaiah Shank on graduating from Frederick County Fire Rescue recruit class 40. He graduated last night and his first shift started today.

Crews from 32 and 69 had a rope drill at Ziegler’s mill today. Crews set up a modified skate block and lowered rescuers from the 4th floor to the ground.

Around 12:38 today E32-2 with 6 assisted York Springs Fire Company No. 1 with a vehicle accident with entrapment. One driver was trapped by the dash and had multiple leg fractures on both legs. All 3 crews worked together and were able to lift the dash freeing the patient. Once freed life team EMS transported the patient to wellflight 2-8 and the patient was flown to York Hospital.

Collapse 32 attended with 3 personnel

7/28/26 at 16:00 E32-2 with 6 assisted Northern York County Fire Rescue with a vehicle accident with entrapment. Crews assisted removing the roof and getting the patient out of a SUV that was partially trapped under a box truck. Brush 32-2 assisted with traffic control.

16:54 After just backing in from the accident E32-1 with 6 responded to assist United Hook & Ladder Company #33 with a garage fire a vehicle repair shop. E32–1 arrived as the 3rd engine and started fire attack and exposure protection on the Charlie side. Brush 32-2 assisted with traffic control.
