In acknowledgement of the upcoming National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (April 14th through the 20th), the Executive Board of UE Local 222 hereby honors the outstanding work demonstrated and displayed daily by you the Telecommunicators within our UE membership. You are the voice of professional calm during the moment of chaos. You are the one communicating with responding field personnel so that they have necessary information to affect righteous service to the community. You indeed are special people with unique life skills. For this outstanding service, often done beyond the call of duty, UE Local 222 thanks you.

Currently UE union of UE Local 808 in Lincoln, Nebraska, has an online petition posted to the public, specifically online. UE Local 808’s President, Eric Franke was instrumental in being posted. The proposal on this online petition is to have USCIS’s contractor, ITC, increase our wages and to honor Executive Order 14026. They, ITC, refuses to honor Executive Order for us federal workers. So, we need as many signatures as possible for this petition to help us make it happen. Would your UE brothers and UE sisters of UE Local 222 be willing to help us by signing our online petition? With Eric’s permission, he and I both ask that you post the link below onto your page so everyone at UE Local 222 will see it, and spread the word out about UE Local 808's issue. In return, if your union is ever in trouble and you need support and solidarity of any kind in the near and far future, we will return any favors. I’ll make sure of it, too. Thank you for your time, President and each and every member of UE Local 222.
