At approximately 9:30 this morning, the Hungerford Fire Dept. was dispatched to a residential structure fire off Boyett Drive. Crews made a rapid, defensive attack to bring the fire under control. A huge thank you to our mutual aid partners for manpower and water supply. Wharton Volunteer Fire Department, East Bernard Vol. Fire Dept., City of Wharton EMS, Wharton County Sheriff's Office, Beasley Community Volunteer Fire Department.

Our KBDI dropped to 454 so Wharton County Burn Ban now lifted. Please use caution if you must do any outdoor burning. Thank you !

On 3/15/2026, East Bernard Fire was dispatched to a Cotton Trash Pile on fire, with assistance from Hungerford Fire Department the pile was extinguished. Huge Thanks Again to Our Neighboring Department ‼️🔥🚒
