Congratulations to Firefighter Jalen Taylor on graduating high school! 🎓🚒

Jalen first joined the volunteer fire service as a junior firefighter, attending trainings and helping wherever he could. After turning 18, he was finally able to officially step into the role he had been preparing for and training hard to do.

Jalen proudly serves both the Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department and East Bernstadt Fire & Rescue, showing dedication and commitment to serving multiple communities at such a young age.

Since joining, Jalen has become a vital part of our department. He is always willing to jump in, lend a hand, and do whatever is needed without hesitation. His dedication, work ethic, and commitment to serving others do not go unnoticed.

We are proud to have Jalen as part of the Crossroads family and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the fire service and beyond.

Congratulations, Jalen — your department family is proud of you!

Tonight, members of the Crossroads Fire Department spent the evening training on fire control and pump operations. The team was able to get hands-on experience to better understand the critical role pump operations play in effective fire control.

We also took a little time to do some prep work for our upcoming auction—we’re looking forward to a great event!

Training like this helps ensure our team stays sharp, prepared, and ready to serve our community when it matters most. 🚒

Thursday night, Crossroads Fire Department members and their families gathered at the station for pizza, great fellowship, and a little team building—with some pretty good (okay… competitive 😄) co****le mixed in!

We’re incredibly thankful for our members and their families for everything they do to support our department and serve our community. Nights like these remind us that we’re more than a team—we’re family. ❤️

Busy Evening for Crossroads Fire Department

At approximately 1902 hours, Crossroads Fire Department units were dispatched to a residential fire alarm in the 1400 block of Allen School Road. While en route, a second call was received for a possible structure fire in the 600 block of the Radford/Hensley Road area.

Units split response, with crews handling both incidents simultaneously.
