Please ANYONE in WD #5 if you have not already done so, please fill out your water hook up forms and bring them to the Town Hall and grab a blue flag to mark where you would like your water meter to be.

Notice of Filing Tentative Assessment Roll

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor has completed the TENTATIVE Assessment Roll for the Town of Bethany in the County of Genesee for the year 2026. The Roll is on file and may be seen and examined by any person until the Fourth Tuesday of May. The Board of Assessment Review will meet to hear complaints at The Town Hall on May 28, 2026, from 5-9pm. The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Roll at Bethany Town Hall on May 5,12,19, and 26th from 11-3pm. In accordance with Section 526 of the Real Property Tax Law, a publication containing the procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the Assessor's Office.

The Town Board of Bethany will be holding a short meeting April 1st at 7pm to set date for a Public hearing.

WD #5 residents from Jerico Road to rt 20, Batavia-Bethany Townline Road (Bethany Center) to rt 20, Bethany Center to Marsh Road on rt 20 and Marsh Road to the new water tower. Please come to Town hall and pick up a blue flag to mark where you would like your water meter. Flags can be picked up Monday - Thursday between 9-3.

Please be aware the hydro spray that is on the water line is only for erosion control. That is not a finished product, and parts will need to be dug up to install laterals. Once completed they will clean and finish the top before the project is approved completed.

The Genesee County Button Club meets at the Bethany Firehall
March thru October on the last Wednesday of the month at 10:30am

The objective of our club is to study, classify, and mount clothing buttons for pleasure and educational purposes. We hold meetings for instruction and entertainment, we bring art, craftsmanship, and the history of buttons to those who wish to further their knowledge and interest in buttons.
