False alarms divert law enforcement resources from crimes in progress, other emergency situations, and time spent patrolling assigned areas. For homeowners that are just trying to keep their family safe using a security system, a false alarm is annoying, embarrassing and expensive.

To save yourself from these inconveniences and expenses, you can take these five easy steps in avoiding false alarms.

As a reminder, East Brunswick residents and businesses must register their alarm systems via the online CryWolf Administration Site found at www.EBPD.net
