Hammarskjold is seeking new board members for for its PTA for next year. If you are interested in holding the position of President, co-President, treasurer, secretary or VP of membership please reach out. Without these positions getting filled, we won’t be able to continue to have exciting events for students or provide grants for teachers. Please, consider becoming a member of the PTA executive board and help keep the Hammarskjold PTA an integral part of the school.

The HMS PTA is having a holiday boutique and our school store will be open every day this week. Students can stop by during their lunch to browse and make purchases.

The HMS PTA wants to welcome our incoming 6th graders with our ice cream meet and mingle on September 17 . We will have the Friendly’s ice cream truck and families are welcome. Please return the form to the school by the 16th. Thank you and we look forward to seeing all of our new students soon.

Attention all incoming 6th graders: Crystal Springs Aquatic Center and the East Brunswick Elementary School PTA's are teaming up to celebrate the 5th grade class of 2021 with a summer "Splash Bash". Join your friends for a fun evening of swimming, sliding and playing at Crystal Springs Aquatic Center at 380 Dunhams Corner Road. The event will be on Wednesday, August 11th from 6:30 - 9:30 PM. The cost is $10 per student and registration is required prior to the event. See the link below to register. Food will be available for purchase at the snack bar and light snacks will be provided. Meals will be $7 and ice cream for an additional $2.
We are sorry but this event is only for current East Brunswick students who have completed 5th grade in June of 2021. All others will not be admitted. This event will be chaperoned by the Crystal Springs Staff and volunteers from the EB elementary schools. This is a drop off event!

**PLEASE NOTE TICKETS ($25 EACH) ARE LIMITED PER DAY AND ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE ENTERING THE FACILITY. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 2 DO NOT REQUIRE A TICKET. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR CART PRIOR TO PAYMENT, IF TICKETS ARE UNAVAILABLE THEY WILL NOT BE ADDED TO YOUR CART!**

Relay for Life has been a part of the Hammarskjold school community for the past 10 years. Relay for Life raises money for the American Cancer Society which funds research and treatments for many types of cancer and supports local EB families who are undergoing treatment. If you, or a friend or family member, would like to contribute to the American Cancer Society, you may donate through the HMS Relay for Life website by clicking shorturl.at/lwEY6 —> HMS Relay for Life 2021!
