This Spring was an amazing season for the Digital Film career program students as they showcased their films and won awards at the Garden State Film Festival, Kent Place Film Festival, and Count Basie Center Breakthrough Filmmaker Fest. They were finalists at the SModcastle Film Festival, and sold out the 12th Reel Film Festival, too! 🎥

🏆 A special shoutout to senior Josias Ortiz, who took home the Best Film & Best Actor Award at the Count Basie Center Breakthrough Filmmaker Fest, the Home Grown Drama Award for his film “Our Dienasty” at the Garden State Film Festival, and finally the Jury Award at the Kent Place Film Festival. Congrats, Josias! We’re so proud of all these filmmakers making their mark on the screens across New Jersey!

Student Spotlight 🌟 Multimedia Art & Design student Johan M.’s artwork was selected as a winning piece in the 2026 U.S. Congressional High School Art Competition, and he was presented an award for his artwork from Congressman Frank Pallone Jr..

Johan’s artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year, alongside winning pieces from across the country.
