On behalf of the Prairie Du Pont Fire Department, I am proud and honored to announce that our department has been awarded a $26,000 Small Equipment Grant from the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal.

These funds will be used to purchase 10 sets of bunker coats and 10 sets of bunker pants, helping ensure that our firefighters have the proper protective equipment needed to safely serve our community.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our firefighters. Whether responding to emergencies, attending training, maintaining equipment, or serving the community, your hard work and professionalism continue to make Prairie Du Pont Fire Department a department our citizens can be proud of.

I would also like to thank our District Trustees for their continued support and commitment to providing the resources necessary to keep our firefighters safe and prepared.

A special thank you goes to the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal, State Fire Marshal Michele L. Pankow, and their staff for recognizing the needs of volunteer fire departments throughout Illinois and for investing in the safety of our firefighters through programs such as this.

Most importantly, thank you to the citizens of the Prairie Du Pont Fire Protection District. Your trust, support, and confidence in our department allow us to continue improving our services and enhancing the safety of both our firefighters and the communities we proudly serve.

This grant represents more than just new equipment—it represents a continued commitment to firefighter safety, operational readiness, and protecting the residents of our district.
