If you are planning to do work on your home, please remember to pull the proper permits before starting your project. This includes but not limited to work such as:
• Drywall
• Electrical
• Plumbing and Mechanical
• Roofing or siding repairs
• Structural work
• Fence installation or replacement
• Any improvements involving the structure of your home
Permits help ensure work is completed safely and according to code standards. Let’s continue working together to keep our neighborhoods safe, beautiful, and improving every day.

🚜✨ What an amazing time at the Touch-a-Truck Event!

East Chicago Public Works was proud to participate and connect with the students from East Chicago Lighthouse Charter School. It was wonderful seeing the excitement on the children's faces as they explored our vehicles, learned about the equipment we use every day, and meet the dedicated employees who help keep our city running.

We love opportunities like this to engage with our community and inspire the next generation. 💙

Support this summer at Block Stadium as they take on teams from across the Region and beyond during their 2026 season.
With exciting matchups, family-friendly fun, and hometown pride on the line, now’s the time to pack the stands and support EC Thunder Baseball.

There will be two games this week:

May 28th against the Beecher Muskies
May 29th against the Kenosha Kings
